The service sector, with a value added share of 64.5 percent and employment of 49.8 percent, is the most important sector of the economy of Lorestan province. Looking at the composition of the value added of various economic activities, it is clear that activities such as wholesale and retail trade, repair of vehicles and goods, real estate and real estate have the largest share in the value added of the province’s service sector, while activities such as service activities related to providing accommodation and food, water supply, waste management, sewage and treatment activities, administrative activities and support services have the lowest value added of the service sector.
One of the important service sectors of the province is the foreign trade sector. According to the latest published statistics, the province’s trade balance in 1401 was 9,450,933 million rials, which is an increase of 33 percent compared to the previous year. In 1401, about 64,531 tons of various goods worth 12,205,905 million rials were exported through the province’s customs and more than 1,723 tons of various goods worth 2,754,672 million rials were imported into the province.
The export products of Lorestan province are diverse and mainly related to the industrial sector. The most important export items of Lorestan province are: common metals and their products, chemical industry products, plastic materials, mineral products, live animals, vegetable products and food industry products, and the province’s major imports are related to machinery and equipment for production lines.
